Over 70% of youth in Sub Saharan Africa earn less than $2 a day
In both low and high income countries youth employment is becoming an growing challenge. Young people form a disproportionately larger share of those living at the BOP. Globally youth are three times more likely to be unemployed than adults. Young people are more likely to be earning less for the same work as older people, more likely to be involved in precarious work and less likely to be able to access financing and land.
Youth and women are the key target groups of Endeva's work on increasing income at the BOP. We are currently exploring sustainable ways to increase their income through various market based solutions in the agriculture and tourism sector.
