Nina is a specialist in impact investing and social enterprises.
She has spent more than 7 years helping different impact investors to set up their impact investing funds, to find their own tailor made impact investment strategies, to perform their investment management or to set up their social enterprises.
Now she is consulting both impact investors and social enterprises with her own company GoldenDeer.
More specifically, she worked with Kois Invest, a Belgium impact investor, where she helped determine the investment strategy and undertook investment management that resulted in a number of impact investments. Investments were targeted towards education, autism, healthcare, sustainable real estate, inclusion in Europe and India. With Kois, she was also principal actor in developing the business plan and first implementation steps of a social business targeting the reduction of homelessness in Belgium. Before that, Nina worked as a consultant for a German investor in Tanzania, where she led initial implementation steps of Village Power, a social business that brings solar power into villages without power. Since then, this business has also been replicated to Uganda and Zambia. Prior to that, Nina supported the establishment of two impact funds of Alphamundi Group, one debt and one private equity fund targeting social businesses in Microfinance, sustainable agriculture and inclusion in Latin America and South East Asia. Other experiences include the support for the establishment of a microfinance cooperative as well as assistance for self-sustaining children homes both in Nepal.
Nina is at the advisory board of Beyond Capital Fund, an impact investment fund for early stage businesses in East Asia and India, and she is founding member of the german association Hands with Hands that operates in Nepal.
Nina holds a master in economics and has achieved CAIA Level I.
