ProjectFeasibility Study on the Development of an E-Solution for Sustainable and Inclusive Innovations
In a new component of the Umbrella Programme for the Promotion of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) India has partnered with the CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development on the issue of sustainable and inclusive innovations to support the dissemination of knowledge and the scaling up of successful BoP innovations. The project aims to go beyond current research and focuses on how innovations arise and how they can be fostered.
To reach this goal, GIZ India planned to develop an internet based solution that supports the dissemination and exchange of knowledge between relevant actors in India and beyond. The eSolution was supposed to meet the needs and wants of its target group in order to foster active usage and long-term interest in its services. To understand the current landscape and what kind of solutions are successful, Endeva was commissioned to conduct a benchmarking study and develop recommendations.
Endeva produced a study that maps the eSolutions landscape of 2012, analyzes success factors and gaps, features recommendations for the design and presents strategies for possible formats. During a feedback workshop held in Delhi in April 2012, Claudia Knobloch gathered 14 stakeholders to discuss the results of the study and to get further input for the recommendations. The final result will be a set of recommendations for the future “eSolution” of GIZ.
