Piera has 20 years of experience in sustainability management and research, with a broad track record of working in companies, NGOs, foundations and management consulting. In 2020, she founded her own company, with the purpose of contributing to global ecosystem restoration and poverty alleviation through the regenerative transformation of agricultural systems.
She is passionate about strategic sustainability management, sustainable agricultural supply and food systems, rural and agricultural development, market-based poverty alleviation, permaculture and regenerative agriculture & supply, as well as nature-based garden and landscape design – especially when these areas are linked, and complex issues need to be solved.
As an Associated Expert of Endeva, Piera aims to use her knowledge, background and network to contribute to systems change in the agriculture and food sector. Piera has an Economics and Sustainability background with a PhD from the University of Zurich, for which she spent 1.5 years at the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Centre (CATIE) in Turrialba, Costa Rica. She is on the board of Clarmondial, the Pakka Foundation and Agricultura Regeneratio.
