About Endeva e.V. 

Endeva e.V. is a non-partisan, independent and interdisciplinary association. The purpose of the association is the promotion of sustainable development as well as the promotion of science and research on this topic. The purpose of the association is realized in particular through practice-oriented project and research work as well as information and knowledge transfer. To this end, the association cooperates with public and private sector organizations, both in Germany and internationally. Endeva e.V. is based in Berlin, Germany.

About the project: 

Endeva e.V. will design and implement a new edition of the Inclusive Innovation 2030 (ii2030) initiative in Rwanda in 2022 with the support of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development and the German development organization Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

About ii2030: 

ii2030 facilitates the smart, effective and efficient use of technology to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a systems change approach. Essentially, it is an initiative process that brings together a curated group of participants to co-create solutions that enable technology to better help us achieve the SDGs at scale. It is a catalytic process that begins with a problem and an opportunity and ends with a prototype of a systemic solution that can be implemented. First implemented in 2017, it is a proven approach can achieve these objectives.

About the Rwanda Smart City Edition of ii2030:

For the Rwanda Smart City Edition of ii2030, Endeva e.V. will organize and implement three virtual ii2030 tracks that all include a preparation phase, a consultation phase and a co-creation phase. The three tracks have different topics. The road safety track aims to leverage technology to strengthen road safety and prevent accidents. The waste management track aims to support circular and smart approaches to solid waste man-agement. The traffic track aims to reduce air pollution with the help of digital tools and improved vehicles.
