From Individual Projects to Ecosystems

You’re Invited! From Individual Projects to Ecosystems: Systemic Funding & Impact

Societal challenges are complex – and can rarely be solved with individual projects alone. Projects can provide important impetus, but their impact is often limited when they exist in isolation. Many issues can only be processed in their whole complexity through the interaction of different actors. A systemic perspective makes it possible to harness this diversity: It reveals how organizations relate to one another and opens up new approaches to cooperation. On this systemic basis, programs can be created that initiate sustainable changes throughout the entire ecosystem.

Using the practical example of “Regenerative Cocoa Cultivation in Ghana,” Aline Menden, Christina Tewes-Gradl and Piera Waibel will demonstrate how stakeholders can find common ground through co-creation and develop sustainable programs. Strategies from System Practice, Theory U, Design Thinking, and Collective Impact will be brought to life through practical examples and illustrate how systemic support can succeed.

In exchange with the Platform for Social Innovations and Social Enterprises, the team will discuss which methods and tools are directly applicable in funding practice, how partnerships can be built on equal terms, and which factors are crucial for successful collaboration in the ecosystem.
